Carriage Mounted Boom

Designed to handle cylindrical products. Can be manufactured in any length and diameter and to suit any type or capacity of forklift.

Booms are individually designed to suit both the forklift and the application. Special design features include: wide top hooks for optimum stability, extra thick and narrow back plates for longer life and maximum view of load, bottom hooks clamp boom firmly to truck carriage. High tensile poles are pressed into back plates to eliminate fatigue stresses caused by welding.

Available up to 4 metres long and 50 mm to 400 mm in diameter.

The table below shows our standard popular carpet booms. Usually, the pole needs to be 0.75 x carpet length eg 4 metre carpet = 3 metre boom. 5 metre carpet = 3.75 metre boom.

Underslung Boom

When a permanently fitted, carriage mounted boom is impractical, the Underslung Boom is usually the first choice. The carpet or coil is still carried close to the truck, maximising capacity.

Note! Headroom and lift height is reduced with this version.

Long Reach Boom

A fork mounted boom, as it’s name implies, provides longer reach – often used for occasional use, consideration must be made to reduced capacity and wider turning circles.

Generally used as an occasional use attachment where extra height needs to be gained. Commonly used for handing large diameter coils or reels inside shipping containers.
